On March 26, 2025, at the scenic Moneymen Park in Blantyre, Credit Data CRB took a bold step toward shaping the future of financial inclusion in Malawi under the Agenda 2063 framework. Surrounded by bright, ambitious students and esteemed guests, we officially launched this Initiative, inviting final-year students to conduct research and write dissertations that could drive meaningful change in our financial sector.
The event was graced by Mrs. Chimwemwe Kachingwe, Director of Bank Supervision at Reserve Bank Of Malawi, who delivered powerful insights on the role of research in financial policy and economic development. We were also honored to host Mrs. Violet Mpyepyeluka, Loans Recovery Manager at the Higher Education Students' Loans and Grants Board - Heslgb, who emphasized the importance of such initiatives in cultivating a globally competitive and highly skilled workforce. Additionally, we welcomed distinguished representatives from the Bankers Association of Malawi Limited -BAM and our own Managing Director, Mrs. Patricia Mwase, who inspired and challenged young minds to embrace this competition as a platform for change.
Also in attendance were representative lecturers and students from Malawi College of Accountancy, Malawi University of Business and Applied Sciences- MUBAS, Blantyre International University, and The Catholic University of Malawi
We are excited for the journey ahead and eagerly anticipate the groundbreaking research that will emerge from this initiative! It's the first of it's kind.
